Description
This unique course will be adapted to your individual wishes and abilities, to enable you to reach a new level as a skier. If you want to learn how to manage more complex terrain in a safe manner, how to ski more difficult runs or how to find the best snow at the moment, this might be a great way to speed up the learning process and to do it relatively safe.

JANUARY – Basic avalanche/snow knowledge and ski technique
- 1 ski tour with a guide
- 2 evenings in Narvikfjellet (focusing on ski technique)
- 1 evening digital avalanche course

FEBRUARY – Advanced avalanche/snow knowledge and ski technique
- 1 ski tour with a guide
- 2 evenings in Narvikfjellet (focusing on ski technique)
- 1 evening seminar on how to plan a ski tour

MARCH – Doing your own ski tours (supported by the guide)
- 1 individual tour
- 2 evenings in Narvikfjellet (focusing on off-piste ski technique)
- 1 evening seminar on risk management

APRIL – Trying to accomplish your individual goal for the season
- 1 individual tour
- 2 evenings in Narvikfjellet (focusing on off-piste ski technique)

MAY – Season finish
- 1 ski tour with the entire group, based on the participants wishes
Dates
We will run this season long course on evenings (Mondays or Wednesdays) and on weekends during January-May.
During the course we will use the easily accessible terrain in Narvikfjellet and in the mountains close to Narvik.
Price
The price per person is NOK 16 500 (provided that we get a full group of four participants). We offer a reduced price of NOK 14 500 for students/persons up to age 24.
Included in the price:
- Access to a certified guide and a learning environment through the entire season
- 8 evenings with skiing and avalanche/snow clinics
- 3 ski tours with a guide
- 3 digital courses/seminars
- 2 evening sessions where we plan and evaluate ski tours, to be done individually by the participants
Not included in the price:
- Personal ski touring gear and clothing
- Avalanche equipment
- Ski pass at Narvikfjellet (we will use the lifts to maximise the amount of skiing and learning during the course)
Level of difficulty
This is a course where we expect the participants to have good skiing abilities, so that you can manage different types of snow conditions in off-piste terrain. We expect that the participants have some form of avalanche education and experience with planning ski tours based on the weather and avalanche forecast. You should also be fit enough to be able to walk and ski for 6-7 hours, on ski tours up to 1200 vertical metres.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
— Boots and skis or split board for touring
— Clothing for ski touring
— Backpack of 30-40 liters
— Poles, ascension skins and ski crampons
— Shovel, probe, and transceiver
— Helmet
— Avalanche airbag if you wish
We might also use additional specialized equpment such as crampons, ice axe, climbing harness, belay/rappel device, slings and carabiners. This depends on the wishes of the individual participants.

The event is insured under the liability insurance of the organizer, but each participant is strongly encouraged to have a personal insurance/travel insurance to cover any damages or injuries that may happen.
